1991. Charlotte, North Carolina's own, Jodeci, began entertaining music lovers with their intricate harmonies and gospel charged vocals. WIth songs like "Forever my lady, Come & talk to me and Stay, they left their mark and carved their own lane in the industry. Fast forward to 1995. Their album, "The Show, The Afterparty, The Hotel", navigated the listener to a sequential masterpiece! Songs like Freek n you, Love you for life and Good luv allowed the group to elevate their songwriting style to that next level. Which is why I am still stuck in the 90's.
